Today for our Friday feature, we have Ornate Films! They are an amazing husband and wife duo, Jamie and Will, who have been serving the Carolinas as videographers for the past 4 years. They are very professional and know so much about getting the best footage of your day, while at the same time, very relatable and and down-to-earth. Top Notch couple with an amazing quality of work. What made you want to be involved in the wedding industry?
We wanted to raise the standard of wedding videography and give love stories the platform they deserve to have.
How did you start your business and what are your future goals?
My husband and I were so disappointed in the quality of most local wedding videos, so we decided to change the standard and apply real cinematography and film school techniques to the wedding industry. Our goal for the future is to and give couples a movie-quality product that becomes a family heirloom for generations to come.
What has been the most memorable moment for you throughout your journey in the wedding industry?
I received a call one day from a past client in tears. Her grandmother had recently passed away and she was calling to thank me for preserving the memory of her in a way that she wouldn’t have had otherwise. Being able to watch her laugh and dance at their wedding became more than a memory, it was a moment in time she will always have. This call truly reinforced our mission of “Don’t just remember the best day of your life, RELIVE it entirely”.
If you could re-launch your business, is there anything else you would do differently?
Only on the internal side. As a new business owner, you have to accept that you will sometimes fail and always evolve. I am proud to say that our initial business plan of, to put it simply, “quality over quantity” still rings true.
